Alibi in the street

Tried to place text in a scene, and make it look convincing. Used luminosity layer mode on one layer to make it look like part of the text is behind the bush on the right side. Copied the text several times and used different blurs and distortions to make it look better.

To make the shadow I copied the finished text layer and fliped it vertically, and aligned it under the original text. I then used distort to make the perspective look right. I also used gasianblur with a gradient selection to make the shadow more blury the further it´s away from its origin. And I also made the layer transperent.

To get the finishing look I used three different adjustmentlayers, with mostly hue and saturation effects.

My burning head!

I had a little latenight photoshop session and tried out something similar like the exploding head image I posted last week, but using a photo instead of a 3D render. It´s only a test, but got bit of a diabolic charme to it Anyway here it is, would be nice to get feedback on it, if you have any.

Here you can see the mountain Sparber in the background. But its also called Lövenkopf, which meens Lions head. It kind of looks like a lion when you think about it. If you don´t see it, maybe you should look again.

Trying out posting pictures from flickr. So I found these lovely pictures from St Wolfgang in Austria. Its a little willage where my mother comes from and I have been there a lot. If your wondering, yes its just as lovely as on the picture!

The Photoshopadventures continious

I haven´t blogged for a while now so it´s about time for a new post!

Today I had a bit more relaxed day then the last days, I took a break from a project I´ve worked on the last few weeks and tried out a photoshop tutorial. It´s about working with 3d renders in photoshop.

So what does working with 3d renders meen, I´m glad you ask and will now tell you. It just meens that you import and work with a rendered out 3d image or shape in photoshop. To get the 3d render you either have to make one in a 3d program like 3d studio max or similar, and render it out. Or the easier way just use a finished 3d render somone else has made I went the easy way and used a finished 3d render whitch looks likes this:

And then I followed a lovely little tutorial in the magazine “Advanced Photoshop” whitch is simpley called “work with 3d renders”

Anyway it gives room for a bit own creativety and is a great way for learning a few more Photoshop trixxxxx! I will not duplicate the tutorial here, but just encourage to check it out and to see how beautiful my image got

Pretty cool and I imagine that you can make some cool images with some very simple rendered out 3d shapes.

Problems using the same portable harddisk on both mac and pc

I got a lovely mobile harddisk from lacie this week and was perfectly happy.

Its got USB 2.o, Fire Wire 400 and 800 ports and 250 G storage. But I encountered a little problem…

I have a mac, and I need to use the harddrive on both mac´s and pc´s. What to do!?!!?

First search the web for why I cant access the mobile harddrive from pc´s while on my mac it´s no problem. The answer is that mac´s and pc´s uses different formats for storaging, and my harddrive was setup for the mac format.

So then I search the web for a solution to let me use it on both mac´s and pc´s. I found a couple of forums suggesting different programs for formatting the mobile hardrive to a format both platforms would except, but in fact you don´t need to download a program at all, (speeking for mac users here). Just open the program on your mac called disk utility, choose the drive you want to format (you have to have it plugged in select the new format to MS DOS and push delete. Voila! you have a harddrive that works with macs and pc´s. Wonderfull, but of course it dosn´t work as perfectly as with the orignal format, but close enough. Well, well thats my contribution to techno bloogging scene

Lightspeed Champion

Hi I just want to share some music I´ve been listning to lately.

Lightspeed Champion is his name and his album is called “Falling of the lavender bridge”, my favorite album for the moment. Some critics call the sound Americana, inspired with a touch of the beloved label indy (which I think allmost all quality music gets labeled with now a days!).

Anyways, I won´t try to put a label on it, other than to say its quite eclectic, on a bonus CD you get with the album he even sings some songs from the musical Hair! Could it be any better!? (and maybe hes just a little bit indy too lol, rotflmao etc).
